Open Day at Tagus Park

On June 10th, from 10am to 5pm, Tagus Park/Campo da Graça opened its doors to the public for the first time.

Less than two months before the city's big event, Tagus Park opened its doors to the public for a tour of one of the spaces that will host World Youth Day. "The work on the landfill is finished", Carlos Moedas affirmed.

From the pedestrian overpass to the altar stage of the religious event, visitors can observe, in a "model plot", the equipment that will be in each area of the Tagus Park, from drinking fountains and rubbish bins to first aid tents.

"This is a unique event in the history of Lisbon. The city will change with this park," said Carlos Moedas, mayor of Lisbon, accompanied by Lisbon’s deputy mayor, Filipe Anacoreta Correia.

Lisbon will host World Youth Day from August 1st to 6th, 2023.
