Consisting of a lightweight tubular metal structure, it weighs around 40 tonnes, made up of a set of screens that create sound, light and shadows on the 3,250 sq.mt. stage that will serve as the altar for Pope Francis.

The structure also has two sides, which will be assembled over the next few days, and has been designed to integrate with the Vasco da Gama Bridge. It will remain in the Tagus Park after World Youth Day, fulfilling its function as an architectural landmark for the city and for the people of Lisbon.

Pope Francis will visit Tagus Park, which will be called Campo da Graça during World Youth Day, on two occasions: on August 5th, for a vigil beginning at 8.45pm, and the following day, at 9am, for the celebration of the Closing Mass.
