Belém - Vasco da Gama Garden

In Belém, in amongst the unique environments of this parish, there are various events taking place under the auspices of World Youth Day.

Between 1st and 4th August, the Vasco da Gama Garden, in honour of the great Portuguese explorer, is hosting the City of Happiness bringing together the Vocational Fair and the Park of Mercy. This period will also be the staging of many different activities integrated into the Youth Festival, such as rallies, music, exhibitions, etcetera.

In Império Square, a landmark location for the city of Lisbon and constructed in honour of the founding of the nation of Portugal and its notable subsequent history, there are a series of Youth Festival events and activities ongoing between 1st and 4th August.
