The pilgrimage of the WYD symbols endedin Lisbon
The symbols of World Youth Day (WYD) - the pilgrim's cross and the icon of Our Lady Salus Populi Romani - arrived in Lisbon on July 22nd, bringing to an end a worldwide pilgrimage that began in 2020 and has been in Portugal since October 2021.

Youth festival programme
During the Youth Festival, you will find events in the fields of music, religion and meetings, dance, exhibitions, theatre, conferences, cinema and sports all over Lisbon, on stages and in open-air spaces, as well as indoors. All the events will be free of charge.

The WYD sets up a suport and population concentration zone in Lisbon
This municipal operational facility opens its doors on July 24th, ready to be activated in the event of an emergency during World Youth Day.
